Shanghai TK Martial Arts Club consists of Tae Kwon Do, Chinese kungfu, Sanda, Tai Chi and other disciplines. Shanghai TK Martial Arts Club has an abundance of teachers. The distinguished counselor is Jin Jidong, a PhD in Law. Jin is the president of Tae Kwon Do Changmyung Academy. He is a 9th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do as well as an Executive Committee member of World Tae Kwon Do Federation KUKKIWON. The chief counselor is well-known Chinese American Ji Tianlin, founder of the Shanghai Tae Kwon Do Club in early 1990s, who is also the 7th degree instructor of World Tae Kwon Do Federation. The Head Instructor of the TK Martial Arts Club is Ji Tianlin’s favorite student Zhang Chongwei, a 5th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do of World Taekwondo Federation KUKKIWON. The center also includes instructors who have sharpened their Tae Kwon Do skills abroad.. Shanghai TK Martial Arts Club was founded in 2003. Since then, it has trained nearly 2000 students form all walks of life, including those from abroad. TK club not only provides Tae Kwon Do classes for students, but also for instructors. Shanghai TK Martial Arts Club has been invited to teach at many schools and universities in Shanghai. Once, the chief instructor Zhang Chongwei voluntarily taught children at Shanghai Municipal Welfare Home for Children.
At the 2006 Shanghai Tae Kwon Do Open, Shanghai TK Martial Arts Club was the only club that was invited to perform at the opening ceremony. The students trained at TK club have been crowned in many national games.
